Role Summary

As part of the Editorial team, you will delve deeply into private markets, aiming to equip our clients with superior insights for investment, advisory, and market participation. This position offers a flexible and growth-oriented work environment focused on professional development and teamwork. Key Responsibilities

Conduct research supporting the EMEA Private Capital team, focusing on alternative investments such as venture capital and private equity, along with institutional allocators and global economic trends.
Develop independent research frameworks to deliver insightful commentary, assessments, and predictions within core coverage areas, identifying emerging themes affecting private markets.
Leverage proprietary PitchBook databases alongside external sources including academic papers, economic indicators, and media to inform analysis.
Create and refine research reports according to editorial schedules.
Manage direct client distribution for published content.
Collaborate with the data analysis team to understand and utilize PitchBook’s datasets for research enhancement.
Engage with clients, media, internal teams, and public inquiries concerning research publications.
Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals to support primary research activities.
Represent company values by modeling positive behaviour and contributing to company projects as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

Degree preferably in Finance or Economics (not mandatory).
Understanding of financial principles including valuation methods (discounted cash flows, comparable analysis), internal rate of return, and portfolio management.
Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
Strong enthusiasm for private financial markets such as private equity and venture capital.
Minimum one year experience in equity research or a related finance role.
Experience writing comprehensive research papers is advantageous.
Highly analytical, detail-focused, proactive, and critical thinker.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and adaptable to new software tools.
Familiarity with the PitchBook platform is beneficial.
Eligibility to work in the UK without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Work Environment and Conditions
