Overview
Join the administrative team within the Cancer Directorate at a prominent NHS teaching trust. This role demands strong teamwork, keen organization, and effective communication skills. You will play a vital role in managing patient interactions and supporting clinical operations to enhance the patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling patient appointments and responding promptly to patient inquiries
- Collaborating closely with both administrative colleagues and clinical staff to streamline operations
- Supporting the Pathway Coordinator in delivering comprehensive administrative services to specialty teams
- Managing the specialty-specific waiting list in alignment with NHS Elective Access Policy
- Communicating appointment and admission details to patients and their carers
- Generating clinical correspondence as needed
Skills & Development
While prior NHS experience is beneficial, thorough training with dedicated mentorship will be provided. This position is an excellent opportunity to develop varied administrative skills and prepare for advanced roles in leadership and management within the NHS.
