Role Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor and Billing Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring precise billing and payment processes for ongoing projects by analyzing quantities, verifying invoices, and reconciling costs in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed measurement sheets from site data and blueprints, undertaking thorough quantity take-offs for structural and architectural elements.
- Extract and prepare Bills of Quantities by analyzing drawings and specifications.
- Validate site measurements and verify quantities and invoices for accuracy and adherence to contract terms.
- Review and approve Bills of Quantities, drawings, and work orders to secure billing precision.
- Maintain meticulous records of executed quantities, change orders, and deviations.
- Confirm accuracy and completeness of invoices submitted by site teams and vendor bills against agreed contracts.
- Track running bills, purchase expenses, and budget adherence for contractors.
- Manage comprehensive billing documentation and resolve discrepancies professionally and promptly.
- Generate client bills in a timely and accurate manner, manage billing documentation, and liaise with contractors and vendors to clarify billing inquiries ensuring client satisfaction.
- Reconcile subcontractor bills and monitor major materials usage such as cement, steel, and diesel for cost control.
- Evaluate completed work on-site to align billing and payments accurately.
- Utilize Farvision software for data entry and analytical purposes.
- Harmonize quantities, payment rates, and invoicing in coordination with project teams and vendors.
- Prepare and update billing status reports, reconciliation statements, and project cost tracking documents.
- Ensure systematic organization of project files linked to quantities, invoices, materials, and payments, adhering to relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Support internal and external audits through comprehensive documentation.
- Collaborate closely with site teams to guarantee timely measurements, documentation, and billing compliance.
- Assess and process change requests, updating work orders accordingly.
- Monitor project budgets, implement cost control measures, and identify opportunities to reduce expenses without sacrificing quality.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. degree in Civil Engineering.
- 4 to 6 years experience in quantity surveying and client billing within a civil construction setting.
- Strong command of quantity surveying, cost estimation, and billing processes for construction projects.
- Proficient at interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and preparing quantitative analyses.
- Experience with construction cost estimation software and tools.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Familiar with construction contracts, industry regulations, and standards.
- Competent in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and knowledge of project management software is advantageous.
- High attention to detail in managing quantities, billing accuracy, and project cost tracking.
