What the role involves
You will work alongside senior designers and technical colleagues on a broad range of projects, helping to develop and deliver design outcomes while building your professional capability. The position offers exposure across project stages, from early concept work through to delivery.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and delivery of buildings and places that improve the experience of the people who use them.
- Support projects at every stage, from concept development through to completion.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and build strong working relationships.
- Communicate design ideas clearly through drawings, presentations, and design explanations.
- Offer professional input to both design and construction teams.
- Lead or contribute to more than one project at the same time when required.
- Prepare and organise design submissions, technical information, drawings, plans, documents, and written reports/specifications.
Requirements
- A qualification at least equivalent to RIBA Part 3 level.
- At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in a high-quality design-led and delivery-focused practice.
- Practical experience leading projects and working across all project phases.
- Confidence working in a multi-disciplinary setting and developing positive rapport with others.
- Strong drawing and presentation ability, with the confidence to explain how a concept develops.
- Good client-facing communication skills, including sensitivity when presenting and discussing work.
- Strong overall communication skills.
- Ability to manage workload across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Revit skills would be beneficial.
- Working knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign.
