Role Summary

This position focuses on offering essential packaging services to several managed service clients. Working within a larger team, you will manage both contracted and project-based demands. Note that this opportunity is located in Wellington and is exclusively open to New Zealand citizens eligible for Top Secret Security (TSV) clearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of application packaging tasks from start to finish including repackaging, testing, and deploying applications for daily business operations and project needs.
• Oversee the entire application lifecycle encompassing discovery, analysis, packaging, troubleshooting, deployment assistance, and continuous enhancement.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to effectively plan, define scope, and execute application-related initiatives on time and within budget.
• Create and keep up-to-date operational documents, standards, and knowledge bases to facilitate smooth service delivery and transition to daily support teams.
• Identify and resolve challenges related to application packaging and deployment to ensure minimal interruptions and uphold service excellence.
• Leverage enterprise-grade tools, frameworks, and ITIL-aligned procedures to maintain dependable, compliant, and high-quality application services.
• Champion continuous improvements to boost performance, efficiency, reduce expenses, and heighten customer satisfaction.
• Foster robust customer relationships by maintaining timely communication, professionalism, and proactive follow-up on tasks and outcomes.
• Contribute to pre-sales efforts, including bid responses, solution design, proof-of-concept demonstrations, and project scoping activities.
• Manage governance, reporting, forecasting, time tracking, and administrative tasks punctually and accurately.
• Establish productive partnerships across teams and act as a trusted consultant to customers, peers, and external parties.
• Support and mentor junior team members by sharing expertise and encouraging ongoing skills development throughout the organization.
• Exemplify responsibility, initiative, and accountability in issue resolution while nurturing a culture of high performance.
• Be available to support after-hours project and operational duties when necessary to fulfill customer and business obligations.
• Engage in continuous professional development by pursuing learning opportunities, industry certifications, and participating in team capability enhancement programs.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in the IT industry, ideally within an IT managed service provider environment.
• Approximately 3 years of direct experience in an Application Packaging role.
• Strong expertise with packaging tools such as InstallShield and Master Packager.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11, and MacOS operating systems.
• Proficiency with endpoint management platforms including System Center Configuration Manager, Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, and Jamf.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities combined with outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently with minimal oversight.
• Adaptability to rapid changes and willingness to travel to Datacom offices, client locations, and industry conferences as needed.
