About SOCOTEC Environment & Safety Team

Role Overview
As an Emissions Monitoring Technician based near Naas, County Kildare, you will play a crucial role in supporting industrial emissions testing for diverse clients. This position involves executing precise, reliable emissions testing aligned with MCERTS and UKAS standards while maintaining safety on-site. Collaboration with the team leader for equipment maintenance and calibration under ISO 17025 guidelines is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurately conducted and technically sound emissions testing and reporting services to various clients.
- Ensure a strict adherence to safety protocols and integrated management systems during all activities.
- Assist with maintenance, servicing, and UKAS-traceable calibration of specialized emissions monitoring equipment.
- Support and conduct MCERTS and UKAS-accredited emissions tests at industrial and regulated client locations.
- Perform site-specific risk assessments after receiving appropriate training to maintain safe operations.
- Work independently and collaboratively to fulfill company goals and client expectations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Scientific or related educational background is preferable.
- Possession of a valid full driving license.
- Familiarity with environmental legislation related to industrial emissions testing.
- Capacity to work effectively under pressure with a deadline-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable with working at heights where necessary.
- Proficiency with IT tools, particularly Microsoft Excel and other Office software.
