About the Role
Node.Digital LLC is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to join their team based in Arlington, VA, to provide support for a U.S. Government customer. This position requires holding an active Top Secret Clearance and involves assisting civilian Government agencies and critical infrastructure owners with cyber incident response by conducting investigations, developing mitigation strategies, and aiding in service restoration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated data pipelines aligned with machine learning technology integration projects.
- Create workflows to automate malware sample collection, detonation, and classification processes.
- Integrate AI and large language models (LLMs) with cloud services such as Databricks.
- Automate data integration between pilot and production systems for seamless functionality.
- Support the enhancement and development of Automated Malware Analysis platforms.
- Develop scripting tools to automate repetitive technical operations.
- Implement automation for data transformation and normalization processes.
- Assist in automating data preparation and feature engineering for AI/ML workflows.
- Establish monitoring and alerting mechanisms for integrated systems through automation.
- Incorporate API integrations to facilitate data sharing and streamline workflows.
- Maintain thorough documentation of automation solutions and manage source code repositories.
- Scale automation solutions effectively from pilot stages to full production environments.
- Optimize the performance and efficiency of automated processes.
- Collaborate with analysts to pinpoint opportunities for further automation.
- Ensure data quality and integrity are preserved within automated solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of automation capabilities.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
- Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance preferred.
- Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security Entry on Duty suitability.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in automation engineering, data engineering, or software development.
- Proficiency in designing data ingestion pipelines on AWS.
- Hands-on experience configuring, tuning, and integrating AI and LLM technologies.
- Familiarity with machine learning pipeline architectures.
- Strong programming ability in Python with expertise in relevant data manipulation libraries.
- Experience with Amazon Bedrock services, including model access, endpoints, and API integration.
- Knowledge of automation frameworks and orchestration tools.
- Experienced in API development and data integration technologies.
- Understanding database systems and data modeling concepts.
- Competent with version control tools such as Git and familiarity with CI/CD methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Capability to convert business requirements into effective automated solutions.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in malware analysis automation or working with cybersecurity tools.
- Understanding of AI/ML pipelines and data preparation techniques.
- Practical usage of Databricks and Databricks AI platforms.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow and Prefect.
- Background in cybersecurity or threat intelligence automation domains.
- Skills in containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of streaming data infrastructures such as Kafka or Kinesis.
- Experience with big data technologies including Spark and Hadoop.
- Previous involvement in federal cybersecurity programs is advantageous.
Education and Certifications
Candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or possess a high school diploma accompanied by at least seven years of directly related experience.
Desirable certifications include DoD 8140 IAT Level III and Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP).
