AI-First Graphic Designer and Multimedia Specialist

About the Role

WSP in the Middle East is in search of an innovative, technically skilled AI-first Graphic Designer and Multimedia Specialist to contribute to a key project in Riyadh, KSA. This position goes beyond traditional graphic design by combining foundational design expertise with cutting-edge AI-assisted image generation, visual storytelling, presentation creation, and video production.

The role involves working alongside project leadership, technical teams, business stakeholders, and communications specialists to transform complex content into visually engaging, clear, and cohesive materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and produce high-quality project reports, technical documentation, proposals, brochures, infographics, executive summaries, and other communication materials.
• Develop and sustain professional templates, visual systems, and design standards tailored to specific projects.
• Create sophisticated layouts suitable for both print and digital publication.
• Convert technical, operational, and strategic information into clear, accessible visual narratives.
• Ensure all designs adhere strictly to organizational and project branding guidelines.
• Prepare final artwork and production-ready files for both digital and print releases.
• Enhance the visual appeal of large, intricate documents involving multiple contributors and disciplines.
• Craft polished presentations tailored for senior leadership, clients, government officials, and project teams.
• Visualize complex project data and technical content through concise, engaging slide decks.
• Design diagrams, process maps, timelines, dashboards, icons, and custom graphics for presentations.
• Elevate existing presentations by improving layouts, visual hierarchy, storytelling, and data visualization.
• Leverage advanced generative AI tools to create images, visual concepts, storyboards, and design assets.
• Develop and refine AI prompts to ensure consistent, high-quality, and relevant outputs for projects.
• Utilize AI to speed up concept design, image enhancement, background generation, visualization, and creative experimentation.
• Maintain visual consistency between AI-generated assets, particularly recurring elements like environments, characters, or branded visuals.
• Conduct quality control checks to guarantee AI-created materials are accurate, professional, and client-ready.
• Stay up to date with emerging developments in generative design and AI-enabled creative processes.
• Create short videos, project films, social content, executive communications, and video materials for presentations.
• Edit video footage, AI-generated scenes, voice-overs, music, captions, transitions, and motion graphics into coherent videos.
• Develop storyboards, shot lists, and visual treatments prior to production.
• Produce animated diagrams, titles, lower thirds, and branded motion graphics.
• Optimize video content for presentations, digital platforms, events, and internal communication channels.
• Collaborate directly with project teams to understand needs, clarify briefs, and recommend visual strategies.
• Work closely with project leaders and teams to define both immediate and future design needs.
• Manage multiple design projects, balancing quality and deadlines.
• Coordinate with external vendors such as printers, agencies, photographers, and videographers.
• Maintain an organized repository of source files, templates, approved assets, imagery, and final outputs.
• Guide project contributors on effective use of templates and visual standards.

Required Qualifications

• Proven professional experience in graphic design, visual communication, multimedia production, or related creative fields.
• A strong portfolio showcasing graphic design, document layout, presentation design, and visual storytelling skills.
• Advanced user of Adobe Creative Cloud applications including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
• Skilled in Microsoft PowerPoint with expertise in executive-level presentation design.
• Familiarity with design and visualization tools such as Figma, Canva, Blender, or Cinema 4D is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with advanced generative AI image and video platforms in a professional setting.
• Solid understanding of typography, layout composition, color theory, visual hierarchy, branding, and information design principles.
• Ability to interpret and visualize technical, architectural, engineering, or project-related content.
• Competent in basic video editing, motion graphics, sound selection, and sequencing.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong quality assurance capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Arabic language skills and experience delivering bilingual Arabic-English content are highly desirable.
• Applicants must be currently located in Riyadh or open to relocation.

Preferred Experience

• Background in engineering, architecture, construction, infrastructure, or related built environment sectors.
• Prior involvement with major programs or large-scale development projects.
• Experience with government, public sector, or executive communications.
• Skills in bid, proposal, or business-winning designs.
• Expertise in corporate reporting and technical publication design.
• Knowledge of architectural visualization techniques.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted content creation and creative workflow automation.
• Experience in designing bilingual documents and presentations.
