About the Role
Mercor, a company connecting top-tier creative and technical professionals with premier AI research labs and investing notable backers from San Francisco, is seeking AI Safety Experts fluent in English and Bengali for a contract opportunity. The position is fully remote and offers compensation between $20 and $22 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct red teaming activities on conversational AI systems, focusing especially on identifying jailbreaks, prompt injections, misuse potential, and bias exploitation.
- Create high-quality human-annotated data by identifying system failures, categorizing vulnerabilities, and highlighting systemic risks within AI models.
- Use structured methods such as taxonomies, benchmarks, and playbooks to ensure consistent and thorough testing procedures.
- Prepare well-documented, reproducible reports including datasets and detailed attack cases to enable client action.
- Work autonomously and asynchronously with adaptability across diverse projects.
Qualification Requirements
- Fluency in both English and Bengali languages.
- Previous experience in AI adversarial roles, cybersecurity, or socio-technical probing involving red teaming techniques.
- Effective communication skills to convey risks clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in adversarial machine learning, cybersecurity, and socio-technical risk assessments.
- Creative skills in probing through areas such as psychology, acting, or writing that support unconventional adversarial perspectives.
