About MasterClass Executive
MasterClass is a premier platform where individuals worldwide can gain inspiration and knowledge directly from top creators, thinkers, and leaders who have transformed the world. The MasterClass Executive program is a competitive, cohort-based learning experience designed for senior professionals to develop leadership in the era of AI. This program is delivered in partnership with the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and OpenAI.
Role Overview
We are looking for a temporary full-time Admissions Advisor to support the upcoming enrollment cycle. This role involves extensive interaction with prospective and admitted candidates via phone and email, providing detailed information about the program, assisting candidates in assessing program value, and facilitating enrollment before deadlines. The advisor will also handle employer-sponsored enrollment processes by coordinating with candidates and company representatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a high volume of admissions calls through scheduled and proactive outreach, addressing inquiries about the curriculum, live sessions, AI Labs, in-person intensives, time commitments, and cohort experiences.
- Assist prospects in evaluating program benefits by clearly explaining outcomes, fees, payment options, and comparing MasterClass Executive with other executive education alternatives.
- Support admitted candidates throughout the decision-making and enrollment process, ensuring timely follow-ups and resolving obstacles ahead of deadlines.
- Lead communications regarding employer sponsorships by responding to inquiries, supplying materials to help candidates secure company approval, and alerting the partnerships team about multi-candidate interest from companies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems with clear notes and timely follow-through, meeting daily and weekly communication targets.
- Collect and report common questions, objections, and sponsorship trends to admissions and marketing teams to refine FAQs, call scripts, and email communications.
- Provide additional support during peak enrollment periods, including post-webinar follow-ups and deadline outreach.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum three years of experience in admissions, enrollment advising, inside sales, account management, or related consultative roles, preferably within executive education, higher education, edtech, or premium customer service.
- Highly motivated by phone interactions, capable of handling 20–30 meaningful conversations daily, skilled in listening and managing objections without aggressive sales tactics.
- Strong written communication skills for managing a high-volume inbox with personalized, warm, and clear responses.
- Knowledgeable and engaged with AI technologies, familiar with their impact on professional work, capable of discussing AI confidently with senior-level candidates.
- Comfortable managing uncertainty and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with evolving guidelines and priorities.
- Well-versed in the executive education landscape including online MBAs, certificates, and cohort-based offerings, understanding buyer comparisons.
- Highly organized and self-driven with excellent CRM management and pipeline discipline, comfortable with performance metrics.
- Flexible schedule to cover U.S. time zones, including early evening hours when candidates are most available.
Employment Details
- This is a temporary full-time role facilitated through a third-party staffing agency with an expected initial term of about one month and potential extension based on business needs.
- Employment is at-will with no guaranteed duration or extension.
- Fully remote position within the United States, approximately 40 hours per week, nonexempt classification eligible for overtime.
- Compensation includes a base pay of $28 per hour plus eligibility for variable incentive payments, with estimated total on-target earnings up to $12,000 monthly inclusive of base pay.
- Benefits are managed by the staffing partner and do not include MasterClass employee benefits such as health insurance or paid leave; legally required benefits will be provided directly by the staffing agency.
Equal Opportunity
MasterClass is committed to fostering diversity and provides equal employment opportunities regardless of protected characteristics under applicable law. Reasonable accommodations will be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
