Overview

The role focuses on managing pension plan administration to ensure compliance with regulatory and organisational standards. This position involves handling pension records, communicating with clients, processing retirement applications, reporting to stakeholders, and supporting investment and insurance administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage administration for various pension plans ensuring regulatory and policy adherence.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records including contributions, benefits, and plan changes.
  • Act as a liaison for clients by providing precise guidance on pension-related matters.
  • Evaluate and process retirement applications, verifying completion and accuracy of required documentation.
  • Compile and submit reports to clients, advisors, and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Address customer queries by email, phone, or letter promptly and effectively.
  • Use pension administration systems to check and update member records and carry out financial calculations.
  • Facilitate payments towards pensions and manage benefit transfers between pension schemes.
  • Stay current on pension and tax legislation, supporting related investment and insurance administration activities.

Experience and Skills

  • Demonstrated experience (2 to 4 years) in pension administration roles.
  • Strong understanding of pension schemes and regulatory frameworks.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with accurate data entry and financial calculations.
  • Proficient in pension administration software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective communicator capable of liaising with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills enabling management of multiple priorities within set deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve complex pension inquiries.
  • Understanding of financial and numerical principles relevant to pension calculations.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality and compliance with data protection standards.
