About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated full-time Activities Assistant to join our team at Knockrobin Hill Care Home located in County Wicklow. This position involves supporting the delivery of a Meaningful Activity Programme aimed at engaging all residents—including those with cognitive, physical, sensory, and intellectual challenges—in enriching daily activities. The role operates within a team that provides activities seven days a week, including weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and facilitating meaningful activities that enhance residents' quality of life.
- Support a wide range of residents, adapting activities to meet diverse needs and abilities.
- Work collaboratively within a team that delivers activities every day of the week.
Requirements
- Experience in caring for older adults in a residential care environment is beneficial.
- Relevant experience is preferred but not mandatory as comprehensive training will be offered.
- Completion of the Sonas Programme course is advantageous but not required due to provided training.
- Proficient IT skills are required.
- Knowledge or familiarity with the EpicCare platform is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with residents and team members.
- Skills or interests in cooking, gardening, knitting, music, and arts and crafts are positive attributes.
