Role Summary

This fully on-site role at the New York City office requires dedication to supporting the acquisitions and capital markets functions by conducting market analysis, deal sourcing, underwriting, and assisting with financial strategies related to real estate assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough market research to aid the acquisitions team in sourcing deals and assessing investment opportunities.
• Underwrite potential investments and assist with due diligence to ensure sound decision-making for property acquisitions.
• Track and organize acquisition pipeline activities to efficiently prioritize new acquisition opportunities.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models that analyze portfolio performance and forecast cash flows accurately.
• Oversee financing statuses by monitoring existing portfolio debt and executing refinancings, loan paydowns, and adjustments to capital structure as needed.
• Supervise capital improvement projects at the property level to ensure they adhere to the designated business plans.
• Support annual budgeting efforts and perform monthly reviews comparing actuals against budgets with reforecasting when required.
• Help prepare internal and external financial reports, including investor updates on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, or a related discipline is mandatory.
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint essential for financial modeling and presentations.
• Proficiency with large language models, preferably Claude, for data analysis and process improvement.
• Strong analytical mindset combined with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple complex projects.
• Exceptional communication capabilities to collaborate effectively across different teams.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering precise, high-quality results.

Preferred Experience

• Between one and three years’ experience in real estate, finance, or related fields.
• Familiarity with real estate financial methodologies such as capital structuring, pro forma assessments, cash flow forecasting, and sensitivity analyses.
• Working knowledge of multifamily housing markets and background in hospitality, industrial, or retail real estate is advantageous.
