Accounts Manager

Overview

Kanda Sands and Stones is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounts Manager to direct the accounting department. The role involves leading the team and overseeing all accounting, taxation, costing, compliance, banking, and financial reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting activities and supervise the accounts team.
• Guarantee timely completion of monthly and annual financial closures.
• Prepare financial documents, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and management information system (MIS) reports.
• Manage manufacturing-related accounting such as costing, inventory valuation, stock reconciliation, analysis of wastage, and profitability.
• Control receivables, payables, collections, vendor payments, and working capital management.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations including GST, TDS, Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), and other statutory requirements.
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, banking institutions, and government bodies.
• Handle bank reconciliations, loan management, interest calculations, and cash flow forecasting.
• Enhance internal controls to prevent errors, leakages, and unauthorized transactions.
• Develop budgets, analyze cost variances, and produce management reports.
• Train and distribute tasks among the accounts team, performing performance reviews.
• Continuously improve accounting procedures and ensure effective utilization of Zoho Books and related software systems.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess qualifications like B.Com, M.Com, MBA in Finance, CA Intermediate, CMA Intermediate, or equivalent.
• 7 to 12 years of professional experience in accounts and finance.
• At least 2 years of experience managing teams.
• Prior experience working in a manufacturing company is essential.
• Comprehensive knowledge of GST, TDS, costing, inventory management, banking operations, audits, and financial reporting.
• Hands-on expertise with Zoho Books is mandatory.
• Familiarity with Zoho Inventory, Zoho Analytics, Zoho Expense, or other Zoho applications is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

The ideal candidate should be fully capable of independently leading the accounts department, identifying and mitigating financial risks, optimizing accounting systems, and delivering precise financial reporting to senior management.

Compensation

Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and expertise.
