About the Role

Our company is looking for a meticulous and analytical Accountant who will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, and supporting the organization’s financial functions. The role involves accurate financial data management, report generation, and aiding in budgeting, audit processes, and financial planning.

Key Duties

• Maintain and prepare comprehensive financial records, reports, and statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable workflows effectively.
• Perform reconciliation of bank statements and company accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax laws, and internal policies.
• Facilitate internal and external audit procedures.
• Record journal entries and oversee the general ledger maintenance.
• Monitor daily financial transactions and verify the correctness of accounting data.
• Organize and maintain systematic financial documentation and file management.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Preferably at least two years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
• Strong analytical abilities, numeracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision in work output.
• Able to handle multiple deadlines and priorities efficiently.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

• Experience with accounting software platforms like QuickBooks, SAP, or Xero preferred.
• Understanding of tax laws, statutory compliance, and financial reporting frameworks.
• Prior involvement in budgeting, forecasting, and financial data analysis is an advantage.
• Excellent organizational and communication capabilities.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA would be beneficial.
