Key Responsibilities

• Manage an established portfolio of customers while actively seeking new business opportunities within the region.
• Engage regularly with customers to anticipate and fulfill their needs.
• Collaborate with branch and support teams to provide accurate pricing, product availability, and delivery coordination.
• Participate in building industry, trade, and networking events to promote PlaceMakers’ presence.
• Support the execution of branch sales strategies to boost market share and overall branch performance.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in sales, account management, or business development roles.
• Familiarity with the building or construction sectors is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up capabilities.
• Demonstrates resilience, motivation, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with diverse customers.
• A personable, authentic approach that encourages trust and enduring loyalty.
• Possession of a valid, full New Zealand Driver’s Licence.

Employment Details

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at the PlaceMakers Gisborne branch.
