Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Academic Advisor based onsite in the Mohali district. This full-time role involves guiding both prospective and enrolled students by recommending programs that align with their career aspirations and interests. The Advisor will conduct counseling sessions, explain course frameworks and goals, and assist learners throughout enrollment and course progression phases. Coordination with training and operations departments is essential, alongside maintaining comprehensive advising records and conducting follow-ups to enhance student satisfaction and retention. Additionally, involvement in outreach initiatives, learner feedback collection, and advising quality enhancement efforts are required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Expertise in Student and Career Counseling to aid informed educational and career decision-making.
  • Effective communication proficiencies including verbal, written, listening, and rapport development skills.
  • Proficiency in Academic Advising, capable of clarifying program options, prerequisites, and progression routes.
  • Understanding of educational systems and current trends, preferably within higher education or EdTech sectors.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Management, or related disciplines; advanced certifications in counseling or education would be beneficial.
  • Previous exposure to roles in academic advising, student support, admissions, or counseling, especially in EdTech or university settings.
  • Strong organizational and time management aptitude to juggle multiple student cases and fulfill deadlines and targets.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, learning management platforms, and standard office applications to manage student data and communications.
