Job Overview

We seek a skilled and outcome-driven Workforce Management expert to lead the resource deployment function for a sector or practice team. This role involves forecasting staffing needs, optimizing resource allocation, and managing capacity to ensure project demands are met efficiently and compliantly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze yearly budget plans to generate capacity matching project scope, skill requirements, prior experience, availability, compliance standards, and budgeting constraints.
  • Conduct proactive capacity and headcount planning to prevent situations of overstaffing or understaffing.
  • Develop strategic staffing portfolios aligned with client requirements, business structure, growth plans, location strategies, utilization, and staff continuity.
  • Achieve all operational, business, and people management KPIs consistently.
  • Enforce quality and risk control measures to ensure full compliance with regulatory and process standards.
  • Review assumptions periodically concerning planning, attrition, demand changes, and recruitment pipelines to minimize staffing gaps and optimize resource utilization during peak periods.
  • Devise responsive staffing solutions to address unplanned demand surges.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers, talent acquisition, and operations teams to allocate new hires aligning with staffing demands and succession plans.
  • Drive continual improvements through process automation, technology enablement, and transformation initiatives that yield measurable efficiencies.
  • Create and maintain dashboards to monitor key KPIs and report insights effectively.
  • Document processes thoroughly and maintain accurate records of deployment activities.
  • Manage relationships with business stakeholders, onshore deployment teams, project management offices, and cross-location deployers.
  • Lead team activities including backup planning, quality assurance, performance evaluation, mentoring, and career guidance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduation or post-graduation in any discipline with a strong academic record.
  • 8 to 10 years of pertinent post-qualification professional experience demonstrating steady career progression.
  • Minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience managing business stakeholders.
  • Preferably 1 to 2 years of direct team supervision experience.
  • Proficiency in analyzing large datasets to identify trends and make informed projections.
  • Hands-on familiarity with staffing management tools is mandatory.
  • Client-focused with a solution-driven approach.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Experience in Big Four firms, audit, tax, accounting practices, or financial services industries is advantageous.
  • Exposure to managing cross-location teams is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with competency in MS Visio, PowerPoint, Google Slides.
  • Well-developed organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of meeting tight deadlines.
  • Robust people management skills.
  • Preferred experience includes project management, change management, and process transformation.
