About the Role

Web Ascend Performance Agency is seeking a skilled WordPress Website Developer to design, develop, and maintain optimized, scalable, and high-performing WordPress websites for its clients. This position involves close collaboration with designers, content creators, and SEO specialists to deliver user-friendly website solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Customize and develop WordPress themes and plugins tailored to client needs.
• Enhance website performance, speed, and SEO compliance.
• Create responsive and mobile-optimized layouts ensuring compatibility across all devices.
• Identify and resolve WordPress issues such as plugin conflicts, broken pages, or database errors.
• Integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and tools to extend website capabilities.
• Maintain website security measures and conduct backups to protect against vulnerabilities.
• Transform designs from Figma, Adobe XD, or PSD formats into operational WordPress sites.
• Implement custom features using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Manage WooCommerce configurations for eCommerce projects.
• Work alongside content teams to uphold effective on-page SEO structures.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments, updates, and best practices related to WordPress.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a WordPress Developer supported by a portfolio of active websites.
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and WordPress Codex knowledge.
• Capability in custom theme and plugin development.
• In-depth understanding of SEO, site speed optimization, and web accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with popular page builders including Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
• Experience with WooCommerce and eCommerce payment gateway integrations.
• Knowledge of cPanel, hosting management, and domain administration.
• Competence with REST API and integration of third-party services.
• Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to operate independently.

Additional Details

This position is full-time and situated on-site at the Cairo office. Working days are Sunday to Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role favors candidates who are enthusiastic about creating high-quality, user-friendly websites that enhance engagement and conversion rates.
