Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site Warehouse Manager position based in Burleigh Waters, Queensland. The role centres on overseeing the daily running of the warehouse, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of stainless steel products and hardware components. The successful person will keep inventory accurate, coordinate stock movement, maintain efficient and safe work practices, and guide warehouse team members.

You will also refine operational processes, support compliance with safety obligations, work closely with purchasing, sales, and logistics teams to help orders move out on time, track warehouse performance measures, manage equipment and resources, and contribute to ongoing improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day warehouse activities, including inbound goods, storage, picking, packing, and outbound dispatch.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and reduce stock mismatches through disciplined stock control.
• Plan and coordinate warehouse workflows to improve efficiency and use of available resources.
• Supervise, coach, and support warehouse team members to maintain a productive working environment.
• Oversee safe handling of materials and ensure forklift and equipment use is managed responsibly.
• Work with purchasing, sales, and logistics teams to support accurate and timely order fulfilment.
• Monitor warehouse performance and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and promote a safe warehouse culture.
• Use warehouse systems and basic computer tools for reporting, data entry, and operational tracking.
• Manage warehouse equipment and other operational resources effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in stock control, inventory management, and warehouse operations, ideally gained in manufacturing, hardware, or building products environments. You should be capable of leading a team, organising work effectively, and handling multiple priorities under pressure.

Competence in forklift operation and safe materials handling is important, along with relevant licences or certifications where required. A solid understanding of workplace health and safety practices is essential, as is confidence using warehouse management systems and standard computer applications.

Skills and Attributes

Success in this role will depend on strong communication, problem-solving, organisation, and the ability to build a cooperative team environment. Experience with performance coaching, operational planning, and accurate reporting will also be valuable.
