Role overview
This is a full-time Warehouse Driver position based at the organisation’s warehouse and distribution centre in Canning Vale, Western Australia.
Key duties
- Pick up donated items from homes, workplaces, and other assigned locations, handling everything from textile bags to large furniture pieces while following safety, timing, and service guidelines.
- Move stock to stores and warehouses as directed, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, professionally, and on schedule.
- Remove rubbish and other materials from stores and warehouses and transport them to landfill sites, recycling facilities, or other nominated destinations.
- Load and unload trucks and containers as needed.
- Complete, share, and maintain all required paperwork, run records, and job booking details in line with established processes.
- Look after company property and equipment, including the vehicle, iPad, and any other issued tools.
- Use the provided systems and workflow tools to improve route efficiency, update job progress, record completed runs, and note donor refusals or other issues.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience driving a medium rigid vehicle or something equivalent.
- Strong spoken communication skills and the ability to deal with a wide range of people.
- Prior customer-facing work experience is an advantage.
- Background in furniture removals or similar work is preferred.
- A valid medium rigid or equivalent driving licence is required.
- A counterbalance forklift licence is desirable.
