Role Summary
The Vice President, Global Program Head for Dermatology and Immunology leads cross-disciplinary teams to push early-stage programs forward. This role is accountable for the end-to-end product development strategy, ensuring programs align with company priorities, budgets, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the global development strategy for assigned products to optimize asset value.
- Prepare and implement integrated product development plans covering clinical strategy, commercial target product profiles, and CMC/pharmaceutical development.
- Ensure consistency with corporate strategies and therapy area priorities.
- Contribute to therapy area strategy and lead related sub-teams.
- Manage program execution to meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Guide cross-functional teams through strategic planning and program delivery.
- Collaborate with Project Management to maintain risk management, assess and mitigate risks, and escalate major concerns.
- Monitor project progress actively, resolving issues impacting schedule, cost, and resources.
- Coordinate across clinical, regulatory, CMC, commercial, preclinical, and operational teams to embed appropriate expertise and ensure informed decision-making.
- Identify and raise resource gaps that affect delivery or quality.
- Inspire and lead high-performing teams fostering accountability and aligned with organizational objectives.
- Champion a global enterprise mindset and operational excellence by proactively addressing risks, streamlining processes, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Stay informed on industry developments, regulatory policies, and scientific progress in dermatology and immunology, applying insights to programs and strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive expertise in translational dermatology and/or immunology.
- At least 15 years in pharmaceutical industry roles, including a minimum of 10 years in leadership positions focused on early development.
- Proven achievements in lifecycle management and early-stage development program leadership.
- Experience securing global regulatory approvals such as NDA, BLA, MAA, or JNDA.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams throughout all drug development phases.
- Strong knowledge of clinical drug development (Phases I-III), CMC, and preclinical processes.
- Exceptional communication skills with experience delivering presentations to senior executives.
- Willingness to undertake domestic and international travel as required.
