Vehicle Assessment Technician

Overview

RAC is seeking Vehicle Assessment Technicians to join its inspection team based at client sites. This role involves conducting quality vehicle condition inspections and assessments to support RAC's reputation for outstanding service. Both newly qualified candidates and experienced technicians are encouraged to apply. The position offers extensive training to build expertise within one of the UK’s foremost automotive brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections according to established procedures and record findings using a PDA report template.
• Complete thorough used vehicle condition reports.
• Collaborate continuously with team members to ensure consistent daily site inspections.
• Engage and maintain communication with customer contacts effectively.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Hold NVQ Level 2 or have comparable experience in the motor trade industry.
• Possess solid mechanical knowledge related to all facets of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicle technology is advantageous.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact across various levels.
• Full UK driving licence is mandatory.
