Utility Worker

Position Overview

This Utility Worker opportunity is based at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK, offered by Sodexo. Candidates will work flexible shifts with open availability preferred, supporting kitchen and facility operations by ensuring cleanliness and organization in food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Manually washing dishes or operating dishwashing machines.
• Sanitizing work surfaces, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
• Sweeping, mopping, cleaning, and vacuuming floors.
• Disposing of trash and garbage properly.
• Cleaning equipment with designated chemicals to maintain hygiene standards.
• Restocking supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning products.
• Engaging in significant walking or mobility during shifts.
• Standing or walking for long durations, potentially more than eight hours.
• Lifting or moving items up to 35 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Maintaining punctual attendance and reliable work presence.
• Performing additional duties as assigned, which may vary by location and client requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Basic understanding of sanitation and food safety practices.

Compensation and Work Details

Pay ranges from $10 to $14 per hour. This is a part-time position with varied shifts, offering opportunities for flexible scheduling as needed.
