Role Overview

The US Sales Tax Associate will support clients with managing their US sales tax compliance needs. This involves conducting nexus assessments, handling registrations across states, coordinating document collection, and managing tax filings. You will also work on local tax matters, including analysis and filing obligations, while leveraging and providing feedback on an in-house technology platform designed to optimize tax workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Nexus studies for sales tax obligations across various US states.
• Determine and facilitate state registrations and sales tax filing duties.
• Collaborate with clients to acquire necessary documents for compliance.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly sales tax return submissions, ensuring adherence to state regulations.
• Monitor updates and changes in US sales tax laws and regulations to maintain compliance.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• CA or CMA semi-qualified, MBA, or Bachelor of Commerce in Finance.
• Minimum one year of experience in US or Indian corporate taxation.
• Strong analytical capabilities and adept research skills.
• Familiarity or working knowledge of US sales tax compliance processes, including nexus studies and state registration procedures.

Working Conditions

• Work schedule from 1 PM to 10 PM IST, Monday through Friday.
• Onsite position based in Gachibowli, Hyderabad.
• Compensation aligned with prevailing market standards.
