Traffic Management Operative - Low-Speed

About the Role

Chevron, a part of Ramudden Global UK, is seeking dedicated Low-Speed Traffic Management Operatives to join our team in Nuneaton. As leaders in infrastructure safety, we ensure the protection of road workers and the public during roadworks by deploying a range of traffic management solutions. Primary Responsibilities

• Perform traffic counts and communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors to support seamless operations.
• Maintain and ensure the efficient functioning of temporary traffic lights deployed on site.
• Install, uphold, and dismantle various temporary traffic management apparatus including cones, signs, frames, sandbags, and other necessary equipment.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to newly joined trainees, facilitating their learning and development within the team.

Candidate Requirements

• Hold minimum qualifications of M1/M2 or SLG Unit 2 considered relevant.
• Possess a sound understanding of Chapter 8 road traffic regulations.
• Hold a full driving license with no more than six penalty points; any prior driving bans must have lapsed at least five years ago.
• Successfully pass required drug and alcohol screening prior to employment.
• Demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude with the ability to adapt and pay keen attention to detail.
• Be willing to work flexible hours including weekends, nights, and periods away from home when necessary.
• Agree to sign a training agreement related to Traffic Management training.

Working Hours and Additional Details

Standard workweek ranges between 40 to 48 hours. While shifts mainly take place during daytime, requirements include evening, night, and weekend work, particularly during peak seasons. Team members may also be included in an on-call rotation, especially those with access to a company vehicle.
