Handyman Connection is seeking an experienced tile setter to support residential projects in Victoria, British Columbia, and nearby communities. This role is best suited to a skilled craftsperson who can take ownership of tile installation work and deliver consistently high-quality results.

The position is structured for an independent contractor who can manage their own workload, work with clients as needed, and help improve customers’ homes through precise, professional tile work.

What the role involves

• Meet with the project manager and prospective clients to review project details and expectations.
• Carry out tile installation from start to finish with attention to quality and doing the job correctly on the first attempt.
• Use practical tools and hands-on craftsmanship rather than spending time on administrative tasks.
• Work independently, stay organized, and communicate clearly throughout each project.

Experience and fit

This opportunity is intended for someone with solid tile-setting experience who is confident working on their own and can be trusted to complete work to a high standard. Candidates with a background in tile setting or closely related trades will be strongly considered.

Work style and compensation

The position offers flexibility in how and when you work, along with the ability to take on your own clients between assigned jobs when needed. Compensation is expected to be approximately $40 to $50 per hour, depending on availability and skill level.
