About the Role
We are seeking a Supply Planning Leader based in Auckland, New Zealand, to oversee an essential segment of our end-to-end supply chain. This role involves managing the national supply plan for both materials and finished products, focusing on balancing customer service levels, inventory management, and cost efficiency across a complex, multi-site operational network. The position requires active collaboration with various business units to sustain high supply chain performance and ensure alignment of end-to-end plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the New Zealand Supply Planning team to create and execute a balanced and coordinated supply plan.
- Take full accountability for inventory control, materials management, capacity planning, and scheduling across the national network.
- Drive improvements in key performance indicators including Delivery In Full On Time (DIFOT), Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO), service levels, cost optimization, and working capital management.
- Act as the Supply Chain representative during Integrated Tactical Planning (ITP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes, influencing strategic decisions and aligning stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with New Product Development (NPD) teams to ensure effective product launches and successful promotion rollouts.
- Enhance planning capabilities by embedding best practices related to safety stock management and core planning procedures.
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers and tolling partners to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team by fostering capability development, accountability, and a culture of strong performance.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience in supply planning within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or manufacturing sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of managing production networks.
- Deep expertise in ITP and IBP methodologies with a track record of driving successful outcomes through these frameworks.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with strong cross-functional influencing capabilities.
- Proficiency in SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and related planning tools to support strategic decision-making.
- Experience with transformation programs or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Genuine curiosity about leveraging technology and artificial intelligence to enhance planning processes.
- A commercially minded approach that thoughtfully balances service delivery, costs, and inventory levels.
