Supply Chain Specialist

About the Role

We are hiring a supply chain professional who sees inventory as more than stock on a shelf. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement of goods across the operation and for the systems and records that keep inventory accurate, reliable, and financially sound.

What You'll Do

• Oversee shipping and receiving activities so that everything is accurately tracked from arrival or dispatch through to the records.
• Take ownership of inventory control tasks, including cycle counts, reconciliations, shrinkage review, and improving stock levels.
• Look after inventory and ERP systems, while protecting the quality and accuracy of the data stored in them.
• Work closely with accounting on inventory valuation, cost of goods sold accuracy, month-end close, and matching physical counts with the general ledger.
• Investigate and correct gaps between the actual stock on hand and what the system shows.
• Adjust inventory levels to reduce carrying costs while still keeping product available when needed.

What You Bring

• A strong understanding of how inventory decisions affect financial statements, including inventory as a balance-sheet asset, COGS, write-downs, and valuation methods such as FIFO and weighted average.
• Practical experience using inventory management or ERP platforms.
• Careful attention to detail and confidence working with reconciliations and numerical checks.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including the related paperwork and tracking steps.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across operations and finance teams.
• A proactive mindset and the ability to quickly learn new products and how they are used in the field.

Compensation and Work Setup

This is a full-time, on-site role based at the Calgary warehouse in SE Calgary. The position offers eligibility for company benefits and competitive market wages, with pay determined by prior experience.
