Role Overview
The Supply Chain Operations Manager position is based in the Auckland warehouse at Mount Wellington on a full-time fixed-term contract of six months. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain – ANZ, this role is responsible for overseeing distribution center activities and third-party logistics, focusing on the secure, compliant, and efficient handling of products.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct warehousing and distribution functions across internal and external providers to ensure excellent service, accurate inventory, streamlined operations, and achievement of key performance metrics.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to optimize logistics, freight, forecasting, demand planning, and rework processes to enhance customer satisfaction, reduce expenses, and boost operational efficiency.
- Maintain adherence to compliance, safety, and quality standards, including GMP protocols, stock management, controlled drug handling, audit preparedness, and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Develop and manage team capabilities through recruitment, onboarding, training, performance reviews, and keeping mandatory certifications up to date.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to assist with budgeting, customer relations, emergency supply planning, and overarching supply chain goals within New Zealand and ANZ operations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum three years of experience working within warehouse environments, preferably with knowledge of GMP settings or comparable standards.
- Experience in international freight handling and shipment consolidation is advantageous.
- At least three years of leadership experience in warehouse operations.
- Strong attention to detail with proficiency in SAP software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possession of a valid forklift license.
- Legal authorization to work in New Zealand, either as a citizen or appropriate visa holder.
