ജോലി വിവരണം

Role overview

This position offers the chance to strengthen your capability in procurement, sourcing, and contract management while working in a supportive team environment. You will gain exposure to a broad mix of projects and suppliers across the Australasian business, and you’ll be guided by experienced senior colleagues who will coach and develop you.

About you

You already have a solid base in procurement, sourcing, and contract administration, and you’re eager to build further experience in a complex, project-driven setting. You work well with others, support senior team members effectively, and use an analytical approach to achieve strong commercial results. You value precision, stakeholder interaction, and ongoing improvement within the Procurement & Supply Chain function. You are curious, proactive, and focused on producing work that aligns with Babcock’s standards and principles.

About the role

The Supply Chain Coordinator helps deliver projects by supporting sourcing and contract management activities. Operating within established processes and under the direction of senior staff, you will apply procurement and supply chain knowledge to help achieve business needs, manage risk, and support value creation.

This role contributes to supplier engagement, contract administration, sourcing paperwork, and compliance with Babcock procurement standards and category management principles. Success is measured by how well you support sourcing processes, keep records accurate, and contribute to continuous improvement across the Procurement & Supply Chain function.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with sourcing activity, including RFQ, RFI, and RFT workflows.
  • Prepare procurement documents and support the development of sourcing plans.
  • Carry out basic market research and analyse supplier information.
  • Help draft and review contract documents so they remain compliant.
  • Keep procurement and contract records accurate for audit and reporting needs.
  • Support contract administration by tracking important dates, deliverables, and supplier performance.
  • Assist with Contract Status Reporting (CSR) to follow progress against contractual commitments.
  • Coordinate communication with suppliers and handle routine questions.
  • Support subcontract and contract management work, including resolving issues.
  • Help improve procurement tools, templates, and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, Trade Controls, and Babcock procurement requirements.
  • Apply Babcock Principles in everyday work.

Requirements

  • Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Commonwealth Security Clearance (NV1).
  • About 2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or contract management.
  • Experience supporting sourcing activities such as RFQ, RFI, and RFT processes, plus supplier engagement.
  • Understanding of Category Management, SRM, and SPM frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of procurement systems and sourcing tools.
  • Relevant qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce, Finance, Logistics, or a related field.

Additional information

This is a defence-oriented role, so the selected candidate must meet the eligibility requirements for the appropriate level of Commonwealth Personnel Security Clearance under AGSVA guidelines.

If your application progresses, internal compliance checks may be required. These can include reference checks, police checks, security checks, qualifications verification, and ITAR-related checks.

Babcock Australasia is a Circle Back Initiative Employer and commits to responding to every applicant.
