Storekeeper

Position Overview

The Storekeeper is accountable for managing merchandise intake, storage, and distribution throughout the facility. This includes receiving deliveries, organizing stock, ensuring proper rotation and freshness of perishables, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and arrange merchandise by department, labeling and preparing it for designated storage locations.
• Stack goods on pallets or carts and complete necessary requisition documentation.
• Alert supervisors promptly about low inventory levels to facilitate timely replenishment.
• Inspect deliveries to verify quality, freshness, and consistency, refusing any damaged or incorrect products.
• Comply with all food safety and handling regulations, particularly in food-related areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains.
• Dispose of empty pallets, cardboard, and other waste responsibly, storing materials appropriately.
• Report any accidents or unsafe conditions to management and participate in safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies, uphold professional appearance and confidentiality, and safeguard company assets.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues, fostering positive working relationships and supporting team goals.
• Meet quality assurance standards and expectations consistently.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds unaided, and maneuvering in confined or slippery areas.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Prior experience in store management within a 5-star hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
