Job description
Position Overview
This role entails assisting in leading the backroom and unloading department operations by addressing issues, responding to inquiries, and nurturing team members through coaching and training. The focus is on maintaining high customer service standards while ensuring that all tasks are efficiently completed.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service by courteously greeting customers, aiding in product promotion and location, assisting with purchasing decisions, resolving issues, and directing concerns appropriately.
- Support task coordination and prioritization as directed by the Stocking 1 and 2 Coach along with Store Management.
- Evaluate the backroom's cleanliness and presentation, identify areas for improvement, and execute necessary stocking or merchandising changes.
- Maintain strong communication within the team and management by organizing planning meetings, leading daily shift huddles to set goals, provide updates and monitor productivity.
- Secure high-value merchandise ensuring locked areas are sealed when not in use and complete daily security audits.
- Coordinate work schedules in collaboration with the People Lead.
- Conduct area inspections with coaches and team members to identify training needs, provide instructional support, and deliver constructive feedback.
- Contribute to a safe and orderly workplace by following company policies including completion of safety checks and securing displays.
- Complete administrative tasks such as GTA/Workday activities and assist management functions.
- Collaborate with Coach and People Lead on performance reviews and development discussions for associates, and support recruitment and onboarding of new team members.

Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $20.85.
