This opportunity is being handled on behalf of a partner employer, which will oversee all applications and subsequent hiring steps. The partner is seeking a Sourcing Specialist located in the United States.
In this role, you will strengthen the talent acquisition funnel by finding and engaging strong candidates across a range of channels. You’ll partner with recruiters and hiring managers to uncover both active and passive talent through social platforms, professional networks, and niche online communities. The job calls for research skills, strong communication, and a curious mindset to identify people who may be the right fit now or in the future. Your outreach and relationship-building will help create reliable talent pipelines and improve hiring speed and quality. Key accountabilities
- Identify and approach prospective candidates through social media, professional networks, and specialized communities such as GitHub and Behance.
- Screen resumes, online portfolios, and profile information to judge fit against the role criteria.
- Reach out to candidates by email and direct messaging, and keep communication active throughout the process.
- Work closely with recruiters and hiring managers to clarify hiring needs and sourcing priorities.
- Create and sustain a healthy pipeline of qualified people for both immediate and future openings.
- Use referrals, previous applicants, and industry contacts to help fill difficult-to-source positions.
- Record and update candidate information in applicant tracking systems and internal databases.
Requirements
- Prior exposure to, or working knowledge of, sourcing, recruiting, or broader talent acquisition work in a busy environment.
- Good command of online sourcing channels, professional platforms, and digital talent-search tools.
- Strong professional writing and speaking skills for outreach, messaging, and email communication.
- Well-developed organization and time management abilities, with comfort handling several open roles at once.
- Capability to review candidate profiles and match them to job needs accurately.
