Social Media Executive (Freelance)

About the Role

We are seeking a creative and proactive Social Media Executive for a six-month freelance contract to collaborate with one of the leading retail brands in the UK. This position goes beyond just scheduling content and involves filming, ideation, briefing editors, analyzing social media performance, and shaping engaging social content.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate original social-first content ideas that capture audience attention.
• Plan content calendars and oversee daily management of social channels.
• Lead content shoots and organize content creation sessions.
• Provide clear briefs to editors and designers to ensure high-quality output.
• Identify emerging social media trends early.
• Analyze performance data to refine creative strategies.
• Collaborate directly with clients and cross-functional agency teams.

Candidate Profile

• Passionate and deeply familiar with social media platforms and trends.
• Highly curious with a strong idea-generation ability.
• Experience managing social media brand accounts.
• Comfortable and confident both on content shoots and in client-facing discussions.
• In-depth understanding of what works on TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and the rationale behind it.

Additional Details

• This is a hybrid role requiring 1–2 days per week at the London Bridge office, plus frequent content shooting sessions.
• Engagement duration is six months, working approximately 14 days each month.
