Social Media Content Creator

About the Role

Join NIAT's growing social media team managing multiple niche and regional channels beyond the main brand. As a Social Media Content Creator, you will independently oversee 2–3 social media pages including planning the content calendar, managing calls, publishing posts, and engaging with the audience. You will be responsible for filming and editing content directly on campus, capturing student stories, events, and faculty interactions tailored to Kannada-speaking audiences. Your role involves creating varied content forms such as Reels, Shorts, carousels, and cutdown videos, operating with quick turnaround times. Additionally, you will assist other teams with shoots and editing during peak periods and maintain organized footage to maximize content usage.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage 2–3 social media pages thoroughly, including content planning, publishing, and interaction.
• Achieve growth targets set for your pages and analyze underperformance to improve.
• Film video content on campus featuring students, events, and faculty targeted at Kannada-speaking viewers.
• Edit videos fitting platform-specific formats like Reels, Shorts, and carousels efficiently.
• Provide shoot and editing support for other social media pages when workload increases.
• Systematically organize footage to enable reuse across multiple posts.

Candidate Requirements

• Between 1 to 3 years of experience creating social media content, either in-house, agency, or personal page management.
• Proficiency in filming using phone or camera without requiring a crew.
• Skillful video editing using tools such as Premiere, CapCut, Final Cut, or DaVinci, with emphasis on editing quality rather than software used.
• Ability to interpret social media analytics to inform future content adjustments.
• Native-level fluency in Kannada with capacity to craft original hooks and scripts in the language.
• Must be based in Bangalore with availability to be on campus regularly.
