Site Reliability Engineer and Application Support Engineer

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer and Application Support Engineer with over 6 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise production applications primarily on GCP platforms like Vertex AI, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer, Looker, or cloud services such as AWS and Azure. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in science or engineering.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Skills

• Lead and maintain complex enterprise production applications hosted on cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Utilize monitoring and observability tools including Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana, Thousand Eyes, ExtraHop, Datadog, and Prometheus to ensure system reliability and availability.
• Manage and support databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Aerospike.
• Work on high-availability systems involving data networks, NAS, IP routing, employing tools to automate and proactively predict system availability.
• Use Atlassian suite tools including Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket, and GitHub to manage workflows and collaborate in Agile environments.
• Contribute scripting and software development skills in C#, .Net, Java, and work with messaging systems like IBM MQ, Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
• Provide detailed operational insights and environmental health status to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate effectively with business partners, technology teams, and vendor services maintaining a customer-focused and positive team dynamic.
