Job Overview

We are seeking a Shop Assistant to join our retail team located at Abu Dhabi International Airport. The ideal candidate will be motivated, customer-focused, and play a vital role in delivering outstanding service and supporting daily store operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome and assist customers, delivering customer service with professionalism and friendliness.
• Address customer inquiries, offer product recommendations, and facilitate sales to ensure a positive shopping journey.
• Keep the store neat, organized, and visually attractive including merchandising and product displays.
• Efficiently operate the point-of-sale system to handle cash, cards, refunds, and complete sales transactions accurately.
• Monitor and restock inventory on the shop floor to maintain product availability and visibility.
• Support receiving shipments by unpacking, verifying quantities and quality, and updating inventory records accordingly.
• Work cooperatively with team members to meet sales goals and contribute to store success.
• Adhere to company policies and safety procedures to maintain a secure and compliant workplace.
• Stay updated about product features, promotions, and special offers to effectively inform customers.
• Assist with additional tasks such as opening and closing the store and conducting periodic stocktaking.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Prior experience in retail or customer service is essential.
• Possess a friendly, outgoing nature paired with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capable of multitasking and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
• Basic arithmetic skills and confidence in handling cash transactions.
• High attention to detail along with a dedication to delivering excellent customer service.
• Willingness to work various shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays as business demands.
• Familiarity with retail operations and POS systems is advantageous.
• Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus.
• Must have eligibility and any required security clearances to work within Abu Dhabi International Airport.
