Overview

That Curry Shop, located in Adyar, Chennai, is seeking a responsible and experienced Shift In-Charge to take charge of daily restaurant activities, ensuring smooth operations and top-notch customer service throughout assigned shifts. This position demands leadership capability and prior exposure to hospitality or restaurant work.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily operational functions of the restaurant during shifts.
• Lead, inspire, and support staff members to uphold service excellence and operational guidelines.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and professionally address guest issues.
• Supervise staff presence, appearance, and shift allocations.
• Facilitate coordination between the kitchen and service teams to maintain seamless workflow.
• Uphold food quality, hygiene, and cleanliness according to organizational protocols.
• Manage billing procedures, cash handling, and finalize daily shift closures.
• Track inventory levels and communicate stock needs.
• Ensure adherence to food safety and health regulations.
• Compile daily reports outlining shift performance and relay information to management.

Eligibility Criteria

• At least 2 years of experience working as a Shift In-Charge, Team Leader, or Supervisor within restaurants or the hospitality sector.
• Effective leadership qualities and team management experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle customers efficiently.
• Basic familiarity with POS systems and handling monetary transactions.
• Availability to work rotational shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Terms & Conditions

Monthly salary ranges between ₹22,000 and ₹25,000 depending on interview performance.
