About the Role
Join Crowfoot Hyundai, part of the AutoCanada network, as a full-time Service Porter based in Calgary, Alberta. AutoCanada is the largest Canadian-owned publicly traded automotive dealership group thriving in Canada and the US, driven by innovation and operational excellence. The role offers an immediate start and is vital to maintaining the smooth operation of the Service Department and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport customers and team members within the dealership as required.
- Maintain the dealership grounds and buildings, including tidiness and garbage removal.
- Perform Service Department duties such as organizing and parking vehicles designated for sale or service.
- Remove protective coverings and ID tags before returning vehicles to customers.
- Inspect vehicles carefully for stains, debris, or damage prior to customer return and report any concerns promptly.
- Assist with service write-ups, tagging, and shop clean-up tasks.
- Clean vehicle exteriors, including seasonal tasks like snow removal.
- Identify and report lot merchandising needs to the management team.
- Place signage on vehicles for advertising purposes.
- Monitor and organize vehicles according to their stage in the reconditioning process.
- Deliver dealer trades to neighboring stores and provide transportation for customers as needed.
- Ensure showroom vehicles remain clean and smudge-free.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Have an interest in the automotive sector and sound knowledge of vehicles.
- Hold a valid driver's license with an impeccable driving record.
- Be comfortable driving both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Experience with cleaning tools and products, including power washers, is advantageous.
- Display reliability, dependability, strong attention to detail, and effective prioritization skills.
- Exhibit excellent customer service capabilities.
