Role overview
This position is for a Service Manager in a fire-fighting equipment manufacturing company based in Mumbai. The role is centered on managing annual maintenance contracts (AMCs), coordinating service delivery, and ensuring strong client satisfaction across service operations.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee AMC-related activities and ensure smooth execution of service commitments.
- Direct, coach, and support a mixed team that includes Service Engineers, Fire Alarm Technicians, Pump Technicians, Fire Hydrant Technicians, Fire Officers, Fire Marshals, and external subcontractors.
- Develop and sustain long-term working relationships with customers.
- Push AMC renewals and maintain continuity of service business.
- Track quotations closely and work to improve conversion and closure rates.
- Compile and share service MIS reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Handle service operations across multiple locations in Mumbai and Pune.
Candidate profile
The employer is looking for a candidate with a mechanical engineering background who can manage multi-site service operations, coordinate technical teams, and strengthen client engagement. Experience in after-sales or technical service leadership will be relevant.
