Role Overview

We are searching for a skilled and forward-thinking Senior Project Manager to lead major interior fit-out projects in Doha, Qatar. This role requires overseeing project execution from initial concept through to delivery, ensuring alignment with client goals and organizational standards. The successful candidate will manage stakeholder relationships, project governance, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve outstanding outcomes in a demanding and collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple intricate fit-out projects and programs, aligning efforts with clients' strategic aims and maintaining transparency at all stages.
• Manage all project phases including feasibility, design coordination, procurement, execution, and final handover, with rigorous quality control.
• Act as the main client liaison, building trust and long-term partnerships by managing expectations and delivering superior service.
• Establish and enforce robust project governance including cost control, scheduling, risk mitigation, and quality assurance protocols.
• Guide and coordinate diverse internal and external teams such as quantity surveyors, MEP professionals, architects, sustainability experts, and contractors.
• Make proactive, well-informed decisions independently while escalating critical issues appropriately and ensuring open communication.
• Ensure all project deliverables comply with budgets, timelines, safety standards, local regulations, and client requirements, with a focus on Middle Eastern construction codes.
• Maintain thorough and organized project documentation in accessible digital and physical formats.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and development opportunities for junior project managers and support staff, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
• Analyze project metrics to identify and implement process enhancements that improve efficiency and results.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing fit-out or construction projects, with a track record of successful delivery of complex, high-value assignments.
• Background in consultancy or client-side project management, capable of handling construction delivery across varied stakeholder groups.
• Deep understanding of pre- and post-contract management through the full RIBA project lifecycle.
• Strong ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, with excellent communication and relationship skills.
• Hands-on knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contract administration and interpretation.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership capabilities to handle competing demands effectively.
• Competence in managing project documentation ensuring compliance and ease of access.
• Familiarity with Middle Eastern construction standards and regulatory frameworks, or aptitude to quickly gain this expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional credentials in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying; a Master's degree is advantageous.
• Chartered membership with professional bodies like RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE, or equivalent.
• Affiliation with recognized project management organizations such as APM.
• Certification or practical experience with Prince2, MSP, or similar methodologies.
• Experience managing projects in international or multicultural contexts, especially within the Middle East.
• Background in commercial fit-out projects with expertise in interior design coordination and specialized fit-out needs.
• Knowledge of risk management, quality assurance, and sustainability integration on construction projects.
