About The Role

Based in Kirikiriroa (Hamilton), you will be instrumental in advancing sustainable Three Waters infrastructure projects across the Waikato region. Our organisation is a named partner on the Waikato Waters and IAWAI – Flowing Waters panels, focused on creating resilient water infrastructure that will serve future generations.

As our project load expands, we seek a seasoned Senior Project Manager to reinforce our status as a trusted delivery partner. You will guide and support a variety of projects related to Three Waters and infrastructure resilience, including water treatment plants, stormwater reticulation, bulk supply pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs, mains renewals, and connected networks.

What You'll Do

Lead projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from feasibility studies through delivery and handover.
Provide strong leadership and strategic oversight while engaging with detailed tasks such as issuing change instructions, running meetings, and ensuring transparent client communication through effective reporting.
Manage complex stakeholder relationships and efficiently navigate all project delivery phases on significant infrastructure initiatives.

Required Experience and Qualifications

At least eight years of post-graduate experience in civil engineering, project delivery, or construction management, including roles as consultant or client-side Project Manager.
Formal qualifications in STEM fields, preferably Civil Engineering or Construction Project Management.
Possession of a valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally and regionally to project sites.
Broad project experience, notably in civil infrastructure and Three Waters asset delivery.
Strong leadership skills coordinating design and technical teams, managing multiple stakeholders, and overseeing consent processes.
Proven competence in challenging existing concepts, troubleshooting, and providing effective solutions.
Expertise in preparing contract documents, correspondence, and reports, including experience with NZS3910/NZS3916 contracts as Engineer's Representative.
Thorough understanding of New Zealand building regulations, legislation, and emphasis on health and safety standards.
