Senior Product Manager, Platform

Overview

Equal Parts is developing a next-generation operating system tailored for contemporary insurance agencies. Blending acquisitions, in-house operations, and AI technologies, the goal is to create an expansive platform that scales relationships instead of increasing personnel.

They are seeking a Senior Product Manager to take charge of a crucial platform layer that serves as the backbone for company operations. Collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Agencies, and Finance teams, this role entails owning foundational systems, operational workflows, integrations, and automation layers. The product's end users include agency owners, producers, and service teams using it daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Fully own problem areas from defining challenges through to delivery and evaluation.
• Efficiently set strategic priorities, even in high-pressure, urgent contexts.
• Engage directly with agency stakeholders to identify critical challenges to address.
• Work closely with engineers on data foundations, workflows, system integrations, and automation features.
• Lead integration efforts related to acquisitions, including data migration, reporting harmonization, and operational tooling enhancements.
• Ensure the platform supports automation by carefully instrumenting workflows to guarantee reliable data.

Role Requirements

• At least 6 years of product management experience with a demonstrated history of owning products end to end—from discovery through launch and iteration.
• Documented, measurable impacts on products you have managed.
• Experience collaborating closely with users to grasp their needs and working with complex systems.
• Strong instincts for product development and the capacity to prioritize effectively.
• Technical literacy to discuss data models, workflows, and system design confidently with engineers without dictating technical solutions.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous, early-stage environments where defining the product layer is part of the role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in insurance, fintech, or similarly complex regulated industries.
• Exposure to AI and autonomous systems, including rapid prototyping to test concepts.
• Familiarity with data platforms, business intelligence tools, or data warehouses.
• Knowledge of financial systems, accounting, commissions, or revenue operations.
• Leadership experience with data migrations, system implementations, or mergers and acquisitions integration.
• Experience working with company founders and executives.
