Senior Inspector - Piping & Welding

This position is for a fixed-term project based onshore with the possibility of extension.

Experience and Qualification Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in piping and welding inspection roles.
• At least 5 years of experience serving as a supervisor or lead inspector in piping and welding.
• Demonstrated expertise adhering to DNV standards and subsea fabrication processes.
• Hands-on knowledge of subsea components such as risers, spools, sleepers, and bridges.
• Proven track record of fabrication surveillance within yard or shop settings.
• Preferred experience with brownfield projects and modification works.
• Experience coordinating non-destructive testing methods including RT, UT, PT, and ET.
• Understanding of offshore and subsea project installation procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee fabrication surveillance at the QSTS yard focusing on subsea and brownfield scopes, including components like subsea bridges, risers, spools, shrouds, and installation aids.
• Conduct thorough inspections of piping systems, weld joints, and pressure equipment in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Assess welding quality through visual checks, document verification, and collaboration with NDT teams.
• Confirm that materials and components meet specifications prior to installation.
• Carry out hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing on piping systems, ensuring proper documentation of outcomes.
• Maintain adherence to regulatory standards and client requirements throughout fabrication and installation phases.
