Role Summary
The Senior Finance Manager will be a proactive finance expert responsible for leading comprehensive finance functions. This includes spearheading critical initiatives and developing strong proficiency in financial processes, reporting standards, governance, and collaboration with business units.
Key Duties
- Lead and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities autonomously.
- Prepare and examine financial statements and management reports compliant with Ind AS and relevant accounting standards.
- Conduct thorough account reconciliations, manage provisions, accruals, and other month-end close tasks ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Deliver insightful financial analyses to assist managerial decision-making.
- Manage statutory and other audit processes end-to-end, coordinating auditor interactions and resolving audit findings promptly.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and governance frameworks, identifying and remediating control deficiencies.
- Ensure adherence to statutory obligations including TDS, GST, PF, and other regulatory requirements, liaising with tax consultants and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, vendor payments, payroll, receivables, and maintain relationships with banks and external finance partners.
- Lead and develop a finance team, assigning tasks, reviewing deliverables, and managing performance for operational effectiveness.
- Serve as a financial advisor to founders and senior management, supplying analytical insights to support strategic business decisions.
- Adapt to dynamic priorities in a fast-paced environment, addressing challenges with sound, feasible solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Chartered Accountant with 8 to 10 years of post-qualification professional experience.
- Prior experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred.
- Strong background in financial reporting, audits, controls, compliance, and management reporting.
- Experience in Financial Services sectors such as Asset Management, Investment Management, NBFCs, PMS, AIFs, or Capital Markets is advantageous.
- Candidates from alternate industries with robust accounting acumen and business insight may also be considered.
