Role Overview
This role entails comprehensive financial analysis and reporting to support strategic business decisions within Honeywell Technologies' Bengaluru office. The Senior Finance Analyst will be integral in developing insightful business metrics and guiding the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) functions aligned with company benchmarks and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed monthly financial reporting and analysis encompassing Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Free Cash Flow to aid business reviews.
- Create impactful business metrics and collaborate with partners to enhance decision-making processes.
- Work alongside business teams to handle Planning, Estimate processes and perform variance analysis comparing actual performance versus plans and estimates.
- Supervise and mentor employees where prior people management experience applies.
- Implement operational expertise in STRAP, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Estimate processes.
- Develop financial trend reports to identify business performance gaps, risks and opportunities related to current financial plans and estimates.
- Offer analytical support for Monthly Operations Reviews and competitor benchmarking alongside economic indicator trends.
- Collaborate with Strategic Business Groups, Units, and Centers of Excellence leadership to enhance performance measurement systems consistent with Honeywell and industry practices.
- Train new personnel and maintain up-to-date training documentation/materials.
- Drive key business initiatives and strategic goals through partnership with business units.
- Suggest and apply process improvements to maximize scalability and reduce manual efforts using cross-functional tools and solutions.
- Engage with global customers and internal teams across levels to align and integrate processes between departments and sites.
- Identify and implement best practices that add value and improve efficiency and quality of financial output.
- Deliver reliable, timely, and precise financial reports that facilitate management decision making.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Finance, Commerce, or equivalent with at least six years of relevant FP&A experience.
- Additional certifications such as CA, ICWAI, MBA, CIMA, CFA, CPA are advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong expertise in STRAP, AOP, and Estimate processes.
- Experience handling financial planning, management reporting including detailed cost analysis, and month-end closing procedures.
- Capability to build robust reporting frameworks that enhance decision-making quality and automate consolidation and analytics for efficiency and timeliness.
- Skillful in developing financial models, preparing metrics, and performing adhoc financial data analyses.
- Ability to adapt flexibly to changing environments and manage work pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent judgment, initiative, problem solving aptitude, confidentiality, and discretion.
- Strong teamwork ethic with a positive and solution-oriented approach.
