As part of its growth, Lynker seeks an experienced Senior Director of Enterprise IT and Cybersecurity Operations to strengthen its IT infrastructure and security posture.

Role Overview

The Senior Director leads Lynker's enterprise IT infrastructure, cybersecurity initiatives, and technology governance. This key leadership role ensures the company's compliance with government contracting standards including CMMC 2.0, CMMI, FAR, and DFARS, maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of enterprise systems. Responsibilities also include business continuity planning, internal system decision analysis governance, compliance training administration, and managing employee IT onboarding/offboarding processes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of cloud-based IT infrastructure, including endpoints, identity management, and collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365 GCC High.
• Set infrastructure standards covering capacity, patching, and change control to support both civilian and defense sector requirements.
• Manage help desk operations ensuring service levels conform to contract and internal expectations.
• Maintain enterprise architecture aligning platforms like ADP Workforce Now, iCIMS, Jira Service Management, and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
• Lead continuous improvement of cybersecurity programs per CMMC 2.0 Levels 1-2 and readiness for Level 3, including oversight of the ISSO function and compliance documentation.
• Ensure adherence to FAR and DFARS clauses related to safeguarding defense information, cyber incident reporting, and supply chain risk management.
• Implement CMMI-aligned processes for IT service management and governance, coordinating with Quality Assurance.
• Develop and maintain IT and cybersecurity policies, including those addressing AI use.
• Manage enterprise risk assessment, mitigation, COOP, disaster recovery, incident response, and insider threat programs supporting critical federal contract performance.
• Serve as internal authority for Decision Analysis Reports (DAR) on new or replacement enterprise systems, establishing standardized evaluation and documentation procedures.
• Lead full lifecycle management for enterprise systems—from requirements and vendor selection through deployment and post-implementation support.
• Administer mandatory cybersecurity and IT training programs in collaboration with Human Resources and the Facility Security Officer.
• Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding IT-related artifact control, including access and hardware management, complying with CMMC standards.
• Partner effectively across departments—HR, Contracts, Finance, Quality Assurance, Executive Leadership—to align technology strategy with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
• Govern generative AI platforms, enforcing acceptable use policies and managing associated risk in accordance with federal guidance.
• Conduct internal audits of systems, access controls, and security measures, reporting findings and maintaining evidence to support assessments and audits.
• Manage vendor relationships, contract enforcement, and IT/cybersecurity budgeting and forecasting.
• Support proposal processes, security assessments, and due diligence related to mergers and acquisitions.
• Collaborate with physical security teams to ensure alignment of physical and logical access controls.
• Represent Lynker in cybersecurity forums and perform additional senior leadership duties as assigned.

Team Leadership

Responsible for managing IT infrastructure and cybersecurity teams, including systems engineers, analysts, service desk personnel, and external service providers. Accountable for recruitment, performance, development, and succession planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• 10-15 years of progressive leadership in IT/cybersecurity within Government contracting environments supporting 500-1000 employees.
• Proven expertise implementing and managing CMMC 2.0 Level 2 compliance, including SSP and POA&M oversight.
• Thorough knowledge of FAR, DFARS cybersecurity regulations, NIST SP 800-171 and 800-172.
• Experience with enterprise system governance, capital planning, COOP, disaster recovery, and regulated cloud environments such as Microsoft 365 GCC High.
• Strong contract, vendor, and budget management skills.
• Excellent communication and executive partnership capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or 15-20 years of experience in Government contracting with focus on compliance and risk management.
• Direct experience achieving CMMC Level 2 certification.
• Background supporting Department of Defense or Intelligence Community contracts.
• Knowledge of AI governance and generative AI acceptable use frameworks.
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as ADP Workforce Now, iCIMS, Jira Service Management, and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.

Certifications

• CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CMMC Certified Professional/Assessor, PMP, or DoD 8570/8140-aligned certifications (e.g., Security+).

Additional Information

Prior military service is highly valued. Experience supporting government contracting or agencies is a significant advantage. The role requires strong governance, cross-functional collaboration, and stewardship of both technology and compliance to support the expansion into defense and national security sectors.
