About the Role
Become a key part of Arup's legacy by joining as a Senior Civil & Stormwater Engineer in Auckland, New Zealand. Arup is recognized for over 75 years of commitment to shaping a better world through values of collaboration and innovation.
In this role, you will lead and contribute to impactful transport, water, and energy infrastructure projects, managing technical design and leading multi-disciplinary teams within the Roads & Streets Business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of stormwater systems, utility layouts, and civil geometric components for infrastructure projects.
- Provide expert technical leadership and mentor team members to foster growth and high performance.
- Coordinate and produce detailed technical drawings, comprehensive reports, and precise specifications.
- Manage project budgets and resources, maintaining quality and alignment with Arup's Quality Management System standards.
- Represent the engineering team in client engagements and actively participate in business development, including bid strategy formulation to secure crucial infrastructure contracts.
Candidate Profile
- Possess over 10 years of professional experience in civil engineering, particularly within New Zealand's infrastructure sector.
- Hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree accredited under the Washington Accord; Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) registration is desirable.
- Proficient in using 12d software for stormwater and civil geometric design tasks.
- Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities with the ability to mentor and develop a growing team effectively.
- Experience in successfully managing projects including budget oversight, timeline adherence, and resource allocation.
