Senior Accountant

Job Overview

Seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a Machinery & Spare Parts industry company in Ahmedabad. This role involves handling comprehensive accounting tasks, ensuring statutory compliance, managing financial reports, and supervising junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate and verify vouchers related to Sales, Purchase, Bank, Cash, and Journal transactions.
• Prepare and submit GST, TDS, and other statutory filings timely.
• Perform reconciliations for Bank accounts, Debtors, Creditors, and Ledgers.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable activities including payment follow-ups and collection of outstanding amounts.
• Manage Accounts Payable operations and plan vendor payments accordingly.
• Track company expenses and transactions involving bank accounts diligently.
• Handle accounting entries related to imports and Bills of Entry (BOE).
• Compile monthly Management Information System (MIS), financial reports, and fund flow statements.
• Liaise with Chartered Accountants, auditors, banking institutions, and government authorities to ensure compliance.
• Lead and guide junior accounting personnel to maintain accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
• Ensure proper documentation and maintain compliance records systematically.
• Coordinate inventory management efforts with warehouse and operations teams.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient knowledge of Tally Prime and advanced skills in MS Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
• Sound understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax regulations, and applicable accounting standards.
• Experience handling import/export accounting and statutory compliance is advantageous.
• Ability to prepare accurate reconciliations and detailed financial MIS reports.
• Strong analytical thinking, effective communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
